STANDARD CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Any hirer of the hall for commercial activity, financial gain, or for not-for-profit or charity fundraising must, as a condition of acceptance, provide proof of having adequate insurance relevant to the activity they intend to carry out.

The named responsible person is responsible, for the period of hire, for proper supervision of the premises, in line with the stated purpose of hiring and in accordance with safety and evacuation procedures. The hirer may not sub-hire the premises or delegate responsibility to other parties. In some cases, additional named responsible persons would be required.

The hirer will ensure that no more than 70 persons are in the hall or involved with their event at any one time.

The hired facilities are limited to the interior of the hall. Car parking and other use of the outside space is not provided by this hire agreement.

The hall has no public entertainment, Performing Right Society or alcohol sale or consumption licence. The hirer must state any of the above intentions when booking and obtain any necessary licence and provide a copy to the Parish Council before the event.

In accordance with the law, the village hall and outside surroundings are no smoking areas.

The hirer must ensure that they do not cause any noise nuisance to people in caravans or neighbouring houses, including on arrival or departure. Any complaint must result in immediate noise reduction.

The hirer's insurance cover must indemnify the Parish Council against any personal loss or mishap and for the cost of repair or replacement of any part of the hall, it's surroundings or contents damaged during the period of hire, as a result of the hire activity.

Where the hire involves use of the kitchen it is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that it is properly, supervised and proper care is taken to avoid damage or injury. Hirers must ensure that anything used is properly cleaned and put away, during the period of hire. Any damage or mishaps must be reported to the booking officer at the end of the hire.

No candles or other naked flames, including decorations of a combustible nature, may be used anywhere in the hall. Any electrical items to be brought into the hall for use must have an up-to-date electrical test ticket and be approved by the booking officer before use. Any displays, stock or other equipment left unattended in the hall, is the responsibility of the hirer and at their risk. Any electrical equipment must be disconnected when unattended.

The hirer will recompense the Parish Council for any additional cleaning costs incurred where the hall is not cleaned/tidied to a fit standard. All internal bins should be emptied and rubbish put in the outside bins.

The Parish Council reserves the right to cancel a booking in the event of the hall being required for use as a polling station for a parliamentary or local government election or by-election. In such an event the Parish Council's liability will be limited to a refund of pre-paid hire fee. The hall is required for Parish Council meetings on the last Tuesday evening of each month (except August and December) and any booking covering those days is conditional on hirer allowing adequate access for said meetings.

The Parish Council reserves absolute right to accept or refuse bookings at its discretion.
